GREG STEWART was one of the Rangers players who helped bedeck the SPFL Premiership trophy in ribbons of red, white and blue.
But the Kilmarnock new boy has revealed his boss Steven Gerrard turned the AIR blue that day too.
As Gers players partied inside an empty Ibrox there was an emotional outpouring across the blue half of Glasgow.
But one outburst stands apart for Stewart, who signed for old club Kilmarnock on Thursday evening to re-unite with old boss Derek McInnes.
And it did not have a positive outcome on the day of jubilation.
Speaking on Open Goal podcast, Stewart remembered bringing fellow panellist Andy Halliday inside the Ibrox party via video call – and a failed CONTRACT negotiation at the height of the celebrations.

Even at the heights of title winning triumph Steven Gerrard wouldn’t be caught out.
Asked about the wild scenes, Stewart explained: “Tonto mate, honestly.
“We were in the stadium and I can mind facetiming you (Halliday) after the game against St Mirren.
“We were sitting with Jimmy Bell and had a whisky and on FaceTime to you. Sitting with a whisky, f***ing amazing, man.”
Other videos leaked of the dressing room dancing and created a new Ibrox anthem – but while the title number 55 was a big deal after a decade wait – there was no big deal forthcoming for Stewart whose parting memory of Ibrox was the title-winning buzz.
He cheekily chanced his arm as the players partied and asked for a new contract only to be rebuffed in the harshest possible terms by a jubilant Gerrard.
Stewart laughed as he recalled his bold bid to stay with the Gers and his approach to his boss.
He said: “I was like that, ‘Geez a f***ing new deal, you’. And Gerrard said: ‘F*** off, you fat c***’.”
Stewart claimed a league winners’ medal but only satrted one game during the title-winning season, and was a regular off the becnh late in the season.
He moved to India at the end of his contract and hooked up with Owen Coyle at Jamshedspur before joining City Group side Mumbai where he played under unlikely Celtic boss link Des Buckingham.
But Stewart put the SPFL on transfer alert when he announced he was returning to Scotland.
Dundee were keen on bringing him back to Dens Park but Stewart opted for a reunion with former Aberdeen gaffer Derek McInnes at Kilmarnock.
In a bizarre twist he could FACE Dundee on his second Killie debut, if international clearance is received on time for the weekend’s Scottish Cup clash.
