The weather forecast has been monitored by NASCAR fans since last week as the Great American Race looked to be set upon by a weekend-long rain storm. The forecast has changed a bit over the course of Speedweek, but one thing remains clear: It’s a good idea to bring an umbrella if you’re heading to the speedway Saturday and Sunday.

Thursday’s update to forecast models now call for a 70% chance of daytime showers on Saturday, increasing to a 90% chance of rain Saturday night into Sunday morning in Daytona Beach, according to meteorologists at the National Weather Service in Melbourne.
