WWE SmackDown Winners and Grades
LA Knight Opens SmackDown
This is one of the rare times that LA Knight got to open SmackDown amid a parade of legends, and it won’t be the last.
Jimmy Uso and LA Knight made great foils for each other as heel and babyface. Both held their own going toe-to-toe. John Cena made the save. With both LA Knight and John Cena feuding with the Bloodline just outside of WrestleMania season, both will likely get world title shots at Reigns before WrestleMania.
Opening Segment Grade: A-
Asuka and Charlotte Flair Def. Damage CTRL
This match was as good in the ring as it was on paper, but never better than when Iyo Sky and Asuka were in there together.
Bayley is doing the Lord’s work by putting the entire division over, but now I can’t remember the last time she had a major singles match.

Backstage, Rhea Ripley and Paul Heyman had peace talks pertaining to the Judgment Day and the Bloodline.
Asuka and Charlotte Flair vs. Damage CTRL Grade: B
Bobby Lashley Def. Rey Mysterio
I feel like Bobby Lashley has wrestled as much as Roman Reigns this year, so this match felt special.
Fans were firmly behind Bobby Lashley despite Lashley being the clear Goliath against Rey Mysterio.
The Street Profits, wearing matching navy suits, looked more like henchmen than ever this week, which is beneath them. Still, they had an impressive alley-oop back suplex on Joauqin Wilde.
Bobby Lashley won with outside interference from the Street Profits. Now that Lashley has beaten the United States champion in a non-title match, it’s only fair Lashley receives a future title shot.
After the match, Rey Mysterio made a phone call to a mystery third person. I’m guessing it’s Dragon Lee.
Bobby Lashley vs. Rey Mysterio Grade: B+
Dragon Lee Def. Austin Theory
Dragon Lee has been fully installed as a main roster member, and he didn’t miss a step from his impressive performance against Dominik Mysterio on Raw.
Austin Theory has picked up a lot of big wins over big names, but it seems to early to be returning the favors.
Cameron Grimes assisted Dragon Lee in the victory, and Lee’s out-of-nowhere breakout may coincide with Grimes’ out-of-nowhere resurgence.
Dragon Lee vs. Austin Theory Grade: A-
LA Knight Def. Jimmy Uso By DQ
Roman Reigns will return to SmackDown next week in Tulsa Oklahoma. It’ll also be the in-ring return of Pretty Deadly and a special appearance by Triple H.
This match was used to narrate the story of LA Knight while promote Roman Reigns’ return next week and whether or not he was going to kick Jimmy out of the Bloodline.
The match ended in disqualification, bringing out John Cena and the Judgment Day. Rhea Ripley and Paul Heyman confirmed their peace talks with a handshake. As advertised, Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes hit the ring to even the odds.
Fans sang along to Cody’s theme music well after it was cut off.
Cody Rhodes added a fourth member to the babyface team, but there were still six heels. Kevin Patrick said the babyfaces were outnumbered, and Michael Cole said “no they’re not!”
Poor JD McDonagh took everybody’s finishers to send the crowd home happy.
