WWE will be coming to Scotland as Clash At The Castle takes place at The OVO Hydro.

While in town he met up with another star who performed at the Glasgow arena.

Drew met up with alt-rock band The Smashing Pumpkins frontman and wrestling promoter Billy Corgan.

In a video uploaded to the Instagram on Simpsons podcast Four Finger Discount, Drew and Billy recreated an iconic scene from the cartoon.

Billy, 57, once voiced an animated version of himself in a series seven episode of the hit cartoon, Homerpalooza.

In the clip, the American rocker meets with Homer Simpson and introduces himself saying “Billy Corgan, Smashing Pumpkins.”

Homer replies: “Homer Simpson, smiling politely.”

In the video with Drew, Billy introduces himself in the same way.

Drew then shakes his hand and says, “Drew McIntyre, smiling politely.”

And the wrestling supremo showed he is a true fan of the Springfield family, by wearing a Kamp Krusty t-shirt from the show.

German WWE star trolls Scots at Glasgow Smackdown event

BY DAVID ROBSON

IT was a devastating night for Scots as Julian Nagelsmann’s Germans put a serious damper on their big night in Munich.

Scotland fans were left gutted while watching the hosts inflict a humiliating defeat on Steve Clarke’s men in the tournament’s opener.

But while the whole nation were given a brutal reality check on the international stage, there was one man in Glasgow who was revelling in the occasion.

And he couldn’t resist the urge to troll Scotland during the match as things went from bad to worse for the Tartan Army at the Munich Football Arena.

German WWE star Marcel Barther, whose stage name is Ludwig Kaiser, couldn’t watch his country open the Euros in style as he was on duty in Glasgow for last night’s Friday Night Smackdown event at the OVO Hydro.

It was also an eventful visit to the city for The Smashing Pumpkins.

The Chicago-based rockers are currently on tour with fellow band Weezer.

But scores of their Glasgow fans were left fuming after missing parts of the co-headline show.

Scores of music lovers were furious after doors didn’t open until 6.30pm – the same time the event started.
