Australia’s WWE superstar Grayson Waller has landed in Perth as excitement builds for Saturday’s Elimination Chamber event at Optus Stadium.
Waller posted a photo he’d taken of the WWE’s pop-up Super Store in the city on his social media, just hours after uploading an image of himself mocking one of the biggest names in the industry — Cody Rhodes.
Waller will be involved in one of the key parts of the Elimination Chamber despite not taking part in any matches. His interview segment — The Grayson Waller Effect — will include Rhodes and WWE champion Seth Rollins.
Rhodes will fight Universal Champion Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania in April and the theme of that match is that he must finally finish his story. Rhodes has never won the WWE championship and his legendary father Dusty never won the title either.
Waller posted a photo of himself with a book saying he had already finished his story during the flight to Perth.
The interview with Rhodes and Rollins — who can’t be involved in a match in Perth due to a knee injury — will be part of a crucial storyline leading into Wrestlemania.
Rollins has vowed to protect Rhodes from outside interference in his Wrestlemania match against Reigns and the includes from The Rock who has returned to being an active wrestler as part of “The Bloodline” faction. The Rock and Reigns are real life relatives.
There has been no announcement that The Rock will be in Perth, but fans are hoping for a shock appearance as part of that interview segment.
