Arts A’Fair with New Native Theatre

New Native Theatre will be at Grandstand Plaza performing the world premiere of “Native, Indigenous, Indian & Me” by Donovan “Niizhogabo” Holmes and “Auntie Hotline” by NNT senior artistic producer Charli Fool Bear. 

Monday, Aug. 26 and Tuesday, Aug. 27 at 9:30 a.m., 10:15 a.m., 11:45 a.m., and 12:30 p.m. at Grandstand Plaza (free with admission.) More information here

Eight performers with disabilities will perform at Grandstand Plaza in a series of mini-shows. Songs, comedy bits, theatrical shenanigans and more will offer a dose of joy in this offering. 

Wednesday August 28 and Thursday, August 29 at 9:30 a.m., 10:15 a.m., 11:45 a.m., and 12:30 p.m. at Grandstand Plaza (free with admission). More information here

Continental Ballet Company 

Ballet dancers from Continental Ballet Company perform solos from “Paquita” in a free showcase of classical dance. Friday, Aug. 30 and Saturday, Aug 31 at 9:30 a.m., 10:15 a.m., 11:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at East Grandstand Plaza. (free with admission). More information here

Cats & Dogs The Exhibition

New this year, the fair features an exhibition for pet lovers. The interactive site will have sensory elements, guiding you through the mysteries of dogs and cats. Learn about cat and dog behaviors, their difference from wild animals, how they perceive the world and communicate and more. 

Daily 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at North End Event Center (free with admission). More information here

Fermented Products Competitions 

Pickle and kimchi lovers, rejoice. This year at the fair, the Creative Activities building will showcase the winners of the new fermented products competitions, with four different categories. The best fermented cucumbers/pickles, vinegars, kimchi, and sauerkraut will be on display in the building this year.

FFA Landscape Design and Construction

Young people involved in FFA (Future Farmers of America) chapters try their hand at designing climate-friendly gardens that support local ecosystems. 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the FFA Building (free with admission). More information here
