Zoe Foster-Blake gentle new ‘juicy’ gel cleanser for ‘clean, soft skin’ is here. Best Picks gives its verdict

While it might be hard to get excited about a cleanser, they are a staple in your beauty regimen – and something we use every single day.

Which is why when I heard that Zoe Foster-Blake’s Go-To Skincare range was releasing a brand new cleanser this week, I was keen to get my hands on it before the official launch.

I’ve been trying the new Juicy Gel cleanser ($39) from the range for the past few weeks now, using it both in the morning to wake and plump up my skin after sleep and at night to remove my makeup, dirt and impurities.

And, no word of a lie: I’ve fallen in love with it.

Billed as a “gentle gel cleanser for anyone wanting very clean, very soft skin”, I love the fact that Juicy Gel’s clear, gel formula transforms into a satisfying lather when you wash your face.

Even better, I love that, unlike many cleansers, Juicy Gel doesn’t leave my face tight and feeling uncomfortable after washing.

It has been formulated with cucumber extract to hydrate and plump, while also working to cool and refresh your face.

The $38 cleanser also uses lotus root water to soothe the skin, along with aloe vera to prevent flaking or dryness, and restore suppleness to the skin.

Finished with jojoba esters – which work to leave your skin feeling clean and smooth (but never dry) – it really is a multi-tasking product that not only cleans, but nourishes the skin.

Juicy Gel also ticks a number of boxes, insofar as it’s suitable for senstitive skin, sulfate and paraben-free and vegan.

That it doesn’t leave my skin red and angry like a number of popular cleansers is also a major tick.

To use the new product, Go-To recommends you first of all incorporate it into your routine in the morning.

Massage the cleanser into damp skin for 60 seconds, and then remove with warm water, before following with your serums, oils, moisturiser and SPF.

Juicy Gel is the first step in your morning skincare routine, to gently remove sweat, grime, and last night’s skincare. Massage into damp skin for 60 seconds, then remove with warm water.

If you’re double cleansing in the evening, then the Juicy Gel cleanser should come after any oil-based cleanser, where it can remove stubborn makeup, dirt and SPF.

Then, you can follow it with any exfoliants, treatment products, serums, oils and night cream.

The Juicy Gel launch follows a number of successful recent product launches for Go-To Skincare, including the recent sell-out Very Luxe Face Cream ($79).

This deeply replenishing moisturiser has been designed with ceramides and vegan collagen to make your skin feel firmer, smoother and plumper.

The moisturiser helps to minimise the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and improve the skin’s elasticity for a light and lifted look.
