As for how she shops? “I’m very much a gut shopper,” she says. “I believe in love at first sight when you see an item. I’m not impulsive, but if there’s something that I like and that moves me then I usually pull the trigger pretty quickly—especially if there’s only a limited edition of it.”
Touch of Sport
This is an any-day-of-the-week kind of outfit. It looks dark where we shot, but it was actually in our restaurant in the store, which is very well lit, and why I felt sunglasses were appropriate here. The idea started with me wanting to wear a suit but not have it feel stuffy, which is why I injected those sporty elements in it with the rugby stripe and the sneakers from The Row. I am forever a Dries Van Noten fan and collector, and the recent news of the designer’s [departure] has really just heightened my search. The finishing touch is those crystal bedazzled sunglasses from Loewe, which give it just a little bit of glam for every day.

Harmonious Clashing
This look is an all-knit mix that resonates with my comfy approach to workwear. There’s so much innovation and technique in the knitwear space, and this combination highlights some of our independent and emerging designers—Paolina Russo, a design duo who [recently] got recognized by Forbes 30 Under 30, and YanYan; I just love their mentality, it literally translates to “knits for everyone.” But overall, I think the thought here was just a comfy outfit has a lot of print mixing, and then grounding the whole look with those simple velvet Mary Jane Flats. I’m wearing Flabelus, which is a brand we’re actually bringing on later this year. I love a little comfy flat. The pearl necklace is from Sophie Buhai. It was a finishing touch that feels very structured, but in an organic shape. I just feel like it topped off the outfit.

Draped Magic
This was my version of “T-shirt and jeans” for the office—breezy pieces like the Tao Comme des Garçons top, which is criss-cross in the front and I think can be worn in multiple ways as well. And then again riffing on the classics with a twist: These jeans are actually made out of leather, so they’re like printed leather pants. I just love a good trompe l’oeil—it’s like you’re getting away with something and looking quite polished. For shoes, I put on these huge croco loafers from Loewe for a little height that’s still comfortable because it’s a flatform.

Proportion Play
I’m wearing this incredible woven raffia [jacket] from the menswear brand 4SDesigns which I’ve never even seen used in outerwear before. I like the idea here of juxtaposing that kind of tailoring and the shirtdress with really traditional office staples, like a kick-flare ponte pant and then a ladylike shoe. Going back to what we talked about earlier, I love things that allow for a lot of movement. I think a shirtdress and pants is the ultimate [combo] you can run around in an all day. And then the dose of whimsy just certainly comes from the fact that you’re wearing a dress that doesn’t necessarily need pants, but we’re doing it.

Sweet, But Not Saccharine
We had a pop-up shop with Bode recently, and you can become very much immersed in the world and the brand’s language when you have a pop up. It was really exciting hearing Emily [Adams Bode Aujla] talk about preserving craft; her husband also did all the furniture. I just really wanted to be immersed in that world so this whole outfit was me riffing off those kinds of ideas that I heard very recently. The Bode Cardigan is a newer add to my closet; it was one of those “love at first sight” [moments]. I just love the little patches. They’re so kitschy and fun. And then met with the wallpaper floral [jacket from Prada], which is quite vintage feeling. I reconnected the craft element with the crochet skirt. Ultimately everything feels very sweet, but I didn’t want to get it to saccharine sweet, so I anchored with a heavier loafer. I love a loafer sock combo, it has a little frill—it adds a funny element to it. I wear them sneakers as well. Hosiery can bring so much to your outfit, whether it be a third or a fourth color.

One-and-Done Dressing
This is a very low-effort office look. A one-and-done dress is something that I love and Chopova Lowena is one of those brands I keep going back to for one high-impact piece, whether it be those carabiner skirts or a dress like this. I like the idea of a folksy-meets-more-futuristic style. The elaborate Peter Pan collar just brings the focus to the face, so for every Zoom meeting or Teams meeting, I stand ready.

The Go-To Formula
If don’t know what I’m wearing that day, this shirt and skirt is the combination that I default to. Commission makes that kind of perfect boxy shirt that has just enough interest—you have the western seaming, there’s a cutout on the boob area. The skirt is our Sacai x Carhartt collaboration. The fabric is quite weighty, like that workwear canvas. I was really inspired by the idea of having these utility workwear pieces put together and then juxtaposed against a more delicate little kitten heel. I’m very into the “object-as-a necklace” lately, and the Annika Inez piece just pulls the whole look together. And then a white sock, obviously!
