The artistic talents of Mandurah’s young generation are on full display at this year’s City of Mandurah Masterpieces 2K24 Exhibition.
The exhibition, on show at Contemporary Art Spaces Mandurah until May 12, features artworks created by 66 local emerging artists aged from 12 to 25.
The works of local youth are on display in 70 artworks across a diverse array of mediums including painting, drawing, sculpture and digital media.
The winners of this year’s Masterpieces 2K24 competition were announced on opening night on April 5.
Winners were Harlow Paton in the 12-15 years division, Matilda Bingham in the 16-18 years category, Anna Lansdown for 19-25 year olds, Hiruni Premaratne in the digital media category and Mia Pagnolo won the Dorothy Newland Encouragement Award.
The Masterpieces program also includes a three-month youth artist residency at CASM, sponsored by Headspace Mandurah, which will see Emma Purkis as the 2024 youth artist in residence.
The Masterpieces program first began in 2014 and has supported more than 450 emerging Mandurah artists over that time, providing more than $35,000 in cash and materials to support their development.
