Today, Beats announced its new Solo Buds and Solo 4 headphones. The first one replaces the 2021 Beats Studio Buds, while the latter is a revision of the beloved Beats Solo brand for headphones.
The Beats Solo Buds offer big Beats sound in the smallest case ever made by the company, as it’s 40% smaller than the Studio Buds+ option. With that, the company is offering a trade-off: The case doesn’t recharge the earbuds, but they have 18 hours of listening time all at once.
With four ear tip sizes (XS, S, M, and L), Beats wants these earbuds to fit everyone. The company says it has optimized comfort and passive noise isolation for the ultimate listening experience. Each earbud features dual-layer transducers designed to minimize micro-distortions across the frequency curve, ensuring high-fidelity sound with clarity and detail.
These earbuds also offer custom-designed microphones powered by an advanced noise-learning algorithm. It also has on-ear functions to control music, take calls, or activate Siri by pressing the “b” button. Users can also configure the press-and-hold action in iOS settings or the Beats app to control volume.
Beats Solo Buds offers one-touch pairing, automatic account setup, and Find My settings for iOS and Android. These earbuds lack Active Noise Cancelling, but Beats believe the shape is enough to block most outdoor sounds. With the Fast Fuel technology, you can get an hour of playback with just a 5-minute charging.
Solo Buds will be available in Matte Black, Storm Gray, Arctic Purple, and Transparent Red for $79.99 from Apple in the US beginning in June.
On the other hand, Beats Solo 4 headphone revamps an old favorite and will be available this Friday, May 2nd, for $199.99. BGR will soon publish a full review of these headphones.
