Beauty expert shares one easy exercise to make your face look younger

While ageing is an inevitable and natural process, retaining a youthful appearance is a common aspiration for many people. Because of this, the global anti-ageing industry is worth billions of pounds.

We’re told that specific creams and moisturisers can help banish unwanted wrinkles and lines in our skin, while hair dyes can be used to cover up grey hairs.

And in some cases, people will seek anti-ageing cosmetic treatments like Botox.

But if you’re after something less invasive, it is possible to roll back the clock by using a simple facial exercise.

Speaking on the social media platform TikTok, beauty and skincare blogger Krystal Lee shared a technique she said is “approved by Korean dermatologists”.

If you do this simple exercise daily you can prevent the skin from sagging, she assured viewers.

“The reason people look old as they age is because they don’t use this muscle enough,” Krystal explained.

“Whether we look old or young depends on the volume of our front cheeks and although ageing is natural it’s good if we can age gracefully.

“Do this facial exercise three times each day to keep your middle face lifted.”

To carry out the exercise, say and hold the work “lee”, focusing on lifting your cheeks rather than the corners of your lips.

She said: “Say ‘lee’. Rather than focusing on lifting your lip corners, focus on lifting your middle cheek area.

“If you keep doing this you’ll find your middle face area ache a little bit and that’s a good sign.”

She added: “Try to hold it for as long as you can and repeat this whenever you have time each day.

“It’s just like exercising our bodies. Build facial muscles for cheeks not to sag.”
