A wallflower finally blooms this spring when Season 3 of “Bridgerton” premieres on Netflix.

The long-awaited return of the hit romantic period drama will come in two parts — with the first debuting on May 16 and the rest of the season’s episodes concluding on June 13.

A teaser trailer for the third installment dropped on Thursday, with main characters Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) taking center stage.

The previous season debuted on the streamer in 2022 and viewers have been anxiously waiting for the next piece of the story.

“We have been apart for far too long,” Julie Andrews as the infamous gossip writer Lady Whistledown narrates in the teaser. “At last, London’s fashionable set has made its return, and it seems that our Bon Ton is moving with the changing tide. So, too, is this author.”

The TV series — which takes place in Regency era England — often featured Penelope as being an outsider, as well as someone who has still yet to find her one true love.

In the clip, she is on a mission to find a husband during the courting season, catching the eye of Lord Debling’s (Sam Phillips).

However, Colin — who has been longtime friends with Penelope — starts to see her in a new light and wonders if his soulmate was the person who was standing by his side his whole life.

He questions if he has deeper feelings for Penelope than he previously thought.

“I would not be angry if you found me a lost cause,” Penelope says to Colin in one scene.

“You must not say such things. You are Penelope Featherington. Do not forget that,” he replies.

In another scene at a fancy ball, Colin inquires his mother Lady Bridgerton (Ruth Gemmell) if she believes that “the best foundation for love is friendship.”

She responds: “It is rare, but you must follow your heart.”

The trailer also sees the return of fan favorites Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) and his wife, Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley), having a little love fest on a desk.

Glimpses of Luke Thompson as Benedict Bridgeton, as well as Claudia Jessie as his sister Eloise Bridgerton, Golda Rosheuvel as Queen Charlotte and Adjoa Andoh as Lady Danbury complete the ensemble cast.

Not returning to this season are Daphne Bridgerton, played by Phoebe Dynevor, and Regé-Jean Page as her husband, Simon Basset.

The official synopsis for the forthcoming season reads: “Penelope enters Season 3 finally ready to give up her longtime crush on Colin.”

“However, that doesn’t mean she’s done with love. Instead, Penelope has decided it’s time to take a husband — and preferably one who will give her the freedom to continue her double life as Lady Whistledown, far away from the prying eyes of her mother and sisters,” Netflix adds.
