Burberry and Daniel Lee Hosted a Very “British” 2024 Met Gala After-Party with British Vogue’s Chioma Nnadi and More

The first Monday in May is home to one of the most renowned red carpets in the world but the after-parties don’t fall short of turning the streets of New York City into a runway. And there is no one better to open a show (or after-party!) than supermodel Naomi Campbell.

Donning a Burberry turquoise fringe gown on this year’s enchanted forest-inspired red carpet, Campbell is a veteran Met Gala attendee. From her feathery Valentino gown in 2019 to last year’s molten pink Chanel by Karl Lagerfeld number pulled straight from the spring 2010 archives, Campbell is never shy to serve up a head-turning look.

Joined by co-hosts actress Jodie Turner-Smith, creative director of Burberry Daniel Lee, and Vogue’s Chioma Nnadi, the evening was dedicated to celebrating the future of fashion with an exceptionally British twist. Of course, the scene at The Mark’s Caviar Kaspia followed suit drawing a crowd of elite guests and friends from designers like Marc Jacobs and Victor Glemaud to style swans like Chloë Sevigny and Awkwafina, the evening drew a notable crowd.

In true Caviar Kaspia form, baked potatoes adorned with a lavish portion of caviar circulated the room with french fries and slices of truffle pizza. There was no shortage of delicious ways to indulge in the next chapter of the evening. Arriving in style, co-host Turner-Smith swapped her angelic Burberry tulle dress embroidered with silk organza feather flowers and over 150,000 faux pearls for a chic, club-approved two-piece set.

Spinning a mix of classic hits that got everyone on their feet, DJ Mahogany stole the spotlight in a stylish Burberry checked outfit. Even Grammy award-winning artist Sam Smith and his partner, designer Christian Cowan, were caught having a laugh and sharing a kiss on the dance floor well past midnight.
