Tuesday night’s episode of Inside the NBA ended with Charles Barkley doing several exercises while his colleagues mocked him by eating donuts.
Prior to the segment, the producers played a clip from a previous episode of Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal arguing. Like always, the argument was eventually reduced to them calling one another fat. On Tuesday, Barkley was tasked with putting his physical fitness to the test. Accompanied by a trainer, Barkley went around the set doing various exercises — including running to a plate of a donuts with a resistance band.
The penultimate exercise had Barkley sitting in a chair while pedaling to engage his core. Then, Barkley, Kenny Smith, and Ernie Johnson appeared on screen with donuts in hand. The trio surrounded Barkley and began eating. The segment got even more absurd when the trainer handed Barkley a shake weight to use while pedaling.
“I’ve had a lot of practice on this one!” Barkley said as he began using the shake weight. “This is easy for me! I’m ambidextrous with this one! I’ve had a lot of practice with this!”
Naturally, the crew burst into immature laughter at the sight of Barkley using the shake weight.
The segment ended with Barkley putting on boxing gloves and hitting a punching bag. On the bag was a headshot of ESPN analyst and former player Kendrick Perkins, who recently called out Barkley and O’Neal for their basketball takes.
Kendrick Perkins calls out Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal
“It’s obviously (that) they don’t watch basketball. I’m serious, they can’t watch basketball on a consistent basis. The only time they actually probably watch the Knicks are when they’re covering the Knicks on… pic.twitter.com/qKfYBxRT9P

“Oh, we’re gonna kill some roaches?” Barkley said when he said Perkins’ face on the punching bag. “Let’s kill some roaches.”
O’Neal eventually joined Barkley in hitting the bag before the two started boxing one another.
