MAKE THAT A DOUBLE: In the land of gelato, Lucinda Chambers and Molly Molloy are double dipping — although theirs is a sustainable, calorie-free experience.
The designers behind Colville are set to unveil their latest collaboration with the Italian brand Diadora, a Double Dipped Sneaker capsule and a new BonBon chair, both of which feature Diadora deadstock.
The sneakers and furniture will be on display at Biffi Boutique on Corso Genova, from Monday to Friday during the Salone del Mobile in Milan.
The sneaker styles are based on Diadora’s archival Mythos Blushield Volo running shoe, and feature bright, glossy slicks of color on the sides and soles.
The sneaker capsule will be on display alongside repurposed 1950s midcentury modern chairs, which have been upholstered by Italian artisans using deadstock fabrics from the Diadora archive.
“Our aim was to bring a vibrant and extraordinary element to Diadora’s iconic sneakers with a Colville touch, and we can’t wait to start wearing them around London and Milan,” Chambers and Molloy said.
“Colville loves a creative challenge and the result of our collaboration with the brilliant team at Diadora is both unique and practical, a combination of everyday style and playful home design,” they added.
The two certainly love a laugh — and a sweet treat. Chambers and Molloy said they named the chair BonBon on account of its “irresistible” appearance.

Although they won’t be on show, the designers also worked Diadora deadstock into their fall 2024 collection, layering the Italian brand’s shell jackets and T-shirts over and under dresses, marrying London and Milanese cool.
Colville, which is based in Milan, is a lifestyle brand with sustainability at its core. It was founded in 2018 by Molloy, who was previously design director at Marni, and Chambers, former fashion director at British Vogue.
Diadora, an historic Italian sporting goods company founded in 1948, is one of many Colville collaborators.
Colville has worked with an array of female collectives from around the world. Artisans from Madagascar have made colorful woven bags, while Colombia’s Arhuaco people have created woolen bucket styles.
“If you are really interested in design, there’s no real boundary between clothing and interiors,” Chambers said during an interview with WWD in 2022. Molloy added: “There is no stopping us, we started in rugs, and we’ve been working with female artisans in Bangladesh, who are disadvantaged, but can stay at home and weave and earn a living.”
