CSAB Special Round 1 Results 2023 likely to be released today on csab.nic.in

NEW DELHI: The Central Seat Allocation Board is set to announce the CSAB special round 1 results for Admission and eCounselling Services 2023. This special round aims to fill vacant seats in prestigious institutions like National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), and Government-funded Technical Institutes (GIFTs). Candidates can use the ‘surrender’ and ‘withdraw’ options until August 12 to optimize their choices.

Those who aren’t allotted seats can ‘exit’ the CSAB counselling process. Selected candidates must complete online reporting, pay admission fees, upload documents, and address queries from August 8 to 12. Any institute-raised queries should be addressed by 5 PM on August 12. Reporting at allocated colleges is scheduled from August 14 to 21. CSAB special round 3 results will be announced on August 13.
During CSAB special counselling 2023, selected candidates have five options: ‘freeze,’ ‘slide,’ ‘float,’ ‘surrender,’ and ‘withdraw.’ Opting for ‘freeze’ signifies contentment with the allotted program and institution. ‘Slide’ allows candidates to switch to a better program with available vacancies in the allotted institute. Opting for ‘surrender’ maintains eligibility for CSAB special round 2, while ‘withdraw’ relinquishes the allotted seat, disqualifying candidates from round 2. The CSAB special rounds empower candidates to make informed decisions and secure their educational paths.
