NEW DELHI: The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG for the year 2023 are expected to be released by July 17, 2023, according to Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar, the Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Initially, the results were anticipated to be announced by July 15, but due to the complexity of the examination process, the timeline has been extended. The CUET-UG results hold immense significance as they will pave the way for undergraduate admissions at more than 200 universities across the country.
The CUET-UG examination was administered in a highly complex manner, with 841 question papers used, including different languages and mediums. The National Testing Agency (NTA) received approximately 25,782 answer key challenges from candidates, further adding to the meticulousness of the evaluation process.
The processing and finalization of such an enormous amount of data necessitate careful examination by the result committee. Once this step is completed, the NTA aims to announce the results by Monday or even earlier. This year witnessed a remarkable increase in the number of applications, with over 14 lakh students applying for the CUET-UG, a 41 per cent rise compared to the previous year.
The CUET-UG is considered the second-largest entrance exam in the country in terms of the number of applicants. Unlike the previous year, this year’s examination was conducted in three shifts to accommodate the large number of candidates.
Here are the steps to check the CUET UG Result 2023 online
Step 1: Open your preferred web browser and visit the official website of the conducting authority or the designated result portal.
Step 2: Look for the “Results” or “Examinations” section on the homepage of the website. Click on it to proceed.
Step 3: Search for the link related to the CUET UG Result 2023. It may be labelled as “CUET UG Result” or something similar.
Step 4: Click on the result link to access the result page.
Step 5: On the result page, you will likely be prompted to enter your credentials, such as your registration number, roll number, or any other required details. Make sure to enter the information accurately.
Step 6: After entering the necessary information, click on the “Submit” or “Check Result” button to view your CUET UG Result 2023. The result will be displayed on the screen.
