Deborra-Lee Furness is all smiles scooting around the streets of New York as she takes on single life following her split from husband Hugh Jackman.
The carefree 68-year-old was spotted riding an electric scooter down a footpath on Monday sporting a brown leather jacket paired with a black shirt and pants.
She topped off the casual look with a pair of navy blue and white sneakers and simple silver jewellery.
The mother of two recently revealed to The Daily Telegraph that her new solo lifestyle was “kind of exciting”.
“You know what? Change, transition, evolution is a little frightening and we are all a bit scared of it but I think it is probably our greatest gift,” she said.
The newly single Australian actress recently sparked romance rumours when she showed up to a New York event with male companion Nigel Baker.
The sighting comes after Furness and Jackman, 55, shocked the world when they announced their split after 27 years of marriage in September.
They shared a joint statement explaining they had decided to “pursue our individual growth”.
“We have been blessed to share almost three decades together in a wonderful, loving marriage,” they said.
“Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.
“Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness.
“We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition.”
Furness hasn’t been the only one spotted with a new potential lover, with Jackman seen leaving a dinner party with a mystery woman in November.
The blonde enigma, who almost resembled his ex-wife, followed Jackman closely as the pair headed for a car to make a quick getaway from prying paparazzi.
The identity of the woman was later revealed as the wife of Jackman’s longtime friend Paul Dainty — who was the promoter behind many of Jackman’s stage shows.
