A “Doomsday” prepper and his teen son were busted Tuesday with a terrifying stash of weapons — including ghost guns and even rocket-propelled grenades — after the boy threatened to shoot up his California high school, according to reports.
Neil Anders, 45, and his son, an unidentified Rancho Bernardo High School student, were taken into custody after cops found multiple unregistered, un-serialized firearms at their San Diego home, according to KNSD–TV.
They also had manufacturing supplies to make the so-called ghost guns — as well as a large stash of explosives and rocket-propelled grenades, the local outlet reported.
The raid came after the teen had allegedly told several classmates Friday that they planned to shoot up the school on Tuesday, the day they were arrested, the report said.
The campus was swept for explosive devices and was deemed to be safe, according to police, who told the NBC affiliate they planned to have extra cops on campus as a precaution.
Anders was a “Doomsday” prepper, cops told the local outlet, without elaborating.
His wife and other children were at their Avenida Sivrita home at the time of the raid, which is just blocks from the school, the report said. The other family members were not charged.
San Diego Police told The Post that officers were still collecting “pertinent facts and diligently working” to release information.
The arrests came three weeks after a teen allegedly opened fire at his Iowa school, killing his principal and an 11-year-old and wounding six others.
