Former Gold Coast Suns Stuart Dew has been spotted in Australia’s Ashes camp just six days after being publicly sacked from the AFL side.
After six years in charge without breaking the club’s finals duck, Dew was photographed in a full Australian kit, alongside players and coaches during training at Old Trafford ahead of the Fourth Test.

It’s not the first time an Australian sporting figure as been involved in the Ashes.
Ahead of the second Test, Australian Formula 1 star Oscar Piastri and AFL legend Joel Selwood were invited to have a bit of fun at the end of practice
Multiple journalists took to Twitter to share pictures of the surprising spot and fans were surprised.
“I’m so confused,” wrote several fans, while others joked that Dew was replacing veteran opener David Warner.

Australia have a chance to wrap up the Ashes in the fourth Test at Old Trafford this week, after months of talk about England’s fearless and fast-scoring approach with the bat.
England’s innings in this series have generally picked up speed with the tail, with captain Ben Stokes cutting loose at the back end or Mark Wood’s blitz at Headingley.
