Farmer Wants a Wife’s Andrew Guthrie and Jess Nathan share major personal news: ‘We’re so excited’

Farmer Wants a Wife favourites Andrew Guthrie and Jess Nathan have announced some exciting news about the next stage of their relationship.

The couple who found love on the 2021 season of the Channel 7 dating show teased fans with a selfie, along with the words, “We have news”.

But before fans could even jump to conclusion, the couple quickly made it clear on their Instagram Stories they were “not engaged” or expecting a baby.

The pair then made a post showing themselves standing in front of a ‘SOLD’ sign.

“We bought a beach shack!” they wrote in a joint Instagram post.

“At one of our favourite places in the world, we’ve been working on this for what feels like forever and we’re so excited to open the doors to our little abode for what will soon be an Airbnb for us to share.”

The new house is located in Merimbula, a coastal town in NSW, six hours south of Sydney.

Merimbula is just one hour and 40 minutes from their farm in Delegate, where the couple live and work.

Friends and followers of Jess and Andrew quickly congratulated the couple on the exciting venture.

“Yes! Well done you two, that’s awesome!!” Farmer Will from the 2022 season wrote.

“Congratulations guys,” another said as a third wrote, “Proud of you two”.

“t’s giving… beach shack house wwwaarrrrmmmminggggg,” a friend of the couple wrote.

The couple first announced they had moved in together in November 2021, after becoming the only couple from their season to remain together.

“WE LIVE TOGETHER!! Dandenong Ranges -> Delegate!” Jess wrote on her Instagram at the time.

“After exactly 11 months of long-distance and a million lockdowns later, today has finally arrived,” she continued.

“So excited to start this next chapter with my love, starting with a big ol’ house reno on our brand spankin new property! (Well, new to us).”

After moving in, Jess has been candid about her battle with endometriosis, which is characterised by tissue similar to the lining of the uterus growing outside of the womb, sometimes moving to other areas of the body.

Jess is among one in nine women who suffer from the debilitating disease.

The reality star who has undergone three procedures, previously wrote she was “stoked to have come out of surgery and be told I won’t have issues conceiving”.

“I have been grossly emotional which I’m going to blame on hormones, but being able to have a baby naturally (of course nothing’s guaranteed, but (fingers crossed) is my dream and I’m just so happy about it (when the time’s right, chill out everyone).”
