A MAN has been rushed to hospital after being attacked in a brutal murder bid in a Fife car park.
Emergency crews raced to a car park in Glenrothes on Thursday evening.
Officers scrambled to the scene on South Street after the alarm was raised at around 6.50pm.
Two men, both aged 41, were set upon by two suspects in what cops are describing as a targeted attack.
One of the men was rushed to Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, after suffering serious injuries.
His current condition, and the condition of the other man, is not known.
Police have confirmed that they are on the hunt for the two suspects involved in the attack and are treating it as attempted murder.
One suspect is described as being a man of a slim build and around 5ft 10in tall.
He was wearing a light jacket and had the hood up, with a dark-coloured snood up to his eyes.
He was wearing dark tracksuit bottoms and also may have had a tammy hat on.
The second is described as being a man in his 20s, of slim build and around 5ft 10in tall.
He is thought to have a Glaswegian accent and was wearing a dark, possibly blue, jacket with the hood up.
He also had a dark-coloured snood up to his eyes and wore dark tracksuit bottoms.
Detective Sergeant Steph Drummond said: “Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and I would urge anyone who may have information to get in touch.
“We would also be keen to speak to anyone who may have dashcam or private CCTV footage from the area to come forward.
“Anyone who can help is asked to call 101, quoting reference 3449 of 21 December, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
