The Australian government has recalled a popular Ford model after multiple defects were identified.
Owners of 2014-2017 models of Ford Mustangs that have been affected by the flaw would be contacted in writing and asked to make an appointment to fix the issue at their preferred Ford authorised dealership, the Department of Transport confirmed this week.
The main hazard concerns the possible intermittent breakdown of the rear-view camera, which the department said could increase the risk of an accident while reversing.
Other defects include the loss of satellite radio reception, an inoperative luggage compartment lamp and/or an inoperable luggage compartment release.
Almost 19,000 cars could be affected.
Also this week, more than 100 2013-2018 Mercedes Benz G300s were recalled after a defect was identified in the rear axle drive shaft.
Last week, a popular tradies’ product was recalled after fears users could receive an electric shock.
The Ozito petrol inverter innovator was recalled across Bunnings stores in Western Australia because it did not comply with national electrical safety standards.
There were 38 stores impacted across the state.
