Hollywood super-villain Mads Mikkelsen was presented with a white Serie B shirt for Como FC bearing his name this week.

But he’s better known as the feared man in black, Le Chiffre from Casino Royale.

And doing the honours for the Italian side was the Danish actor’s fellow countryman Oliver Abildgaard.

Remember him?

The midfielder spent six months at Celtic under Ange Postecoglou but barely featured during his loan deal from Russian side Rubin Kazan.

Indeed the Dane’s deal at Parkhead was cut short and he saw out the rest of the season in Italy at Verona, before penning a full-time deal with northern side Como last summer.

The midfielder was all smiles though as he did the honours. He has settled in to his new club, and played 27 times this season.

But his unlikely brush with the infamous baddie who cried tears of blood opposite Daniel Craig brought bewilderment from his side’s fans.

Especially with who was making the presentation.

The official club account joked in the style of Twitter transfer guru Fabrizio Romano: “Here we go: Mads Mikkelsen to Como!”

One fan asked: “Is that the one on the left?”

But another pleaded: “Oliver, don’t become a villain!”

Ice cold Mikkelsen is a frequent antagonist in films and while Casino Royale was his big break in Tinseltown, he’s since starred in Marvel‘s Dr Strange and the latest Indiana Jones blockbuster.

Amongst his big roles he’s played Hannibal Lecter as well as wizard Griundelwald in the Harry Potter spin-off Fantastic Beasts.

Wearing a baseball cap and flannel jacket he punched the air as he was gifted the shirt from midfielder Abildgaard – a far cry from Le Chiffre’s all black uniform back in the day.

The unlikely double act even reached Hoops fans who also couldn’t quite believe what they were seeing – one replied: “Remember Oliver Abildgaard?”

While 1990s 007 Brosnan has donned the Hoops before the first major movie Bond, Sir Sean Connery was a known to have grown up a Celtic fan – but played for local side Bonnyrigg Rose as a youngster.

He later switched allegiances when a friendship with then Rangers chairman David Murray saw him take in matches with his pal on the other side of Glasgow.
