An adored ex-Sunrise host has shocked the Morning Show with some extra exciting family news.
On Friday, David Koch, 68, made a special appearance on the beloved Australian TV show, where he announced his news, shocking hosts Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies.
Koch said he is about to be a grandfather again.
Bursting with pride, Koch said his youngest daughter is pregnant, and he gets to be at the first ultrasound.
“Georgie is expecting her first child,” he said.
With his daughter living on the other side of the world, the beloved sunrise host and his wife Libby will soon fly out to London before his daughter’s first ultrasound.
Keeping with family traditions, Koch and his wife will buy the pram.
“We have a family tradition, we buy the first pram for each of the families,” he said.
Koch is no stranger to the role of being a grandparent, he already has eight.
The youngest was born in November 2021 to his son AJ and daughter-in-law Carolina.
Koch is known for sharing his big family news with Australia, including his youngest daughter Georgie’s wedding in 2022.
The former host most recently shared some adoring pictures of himself and his wife for their 45th wedding anniversary.
“45th Wedd Anniversary. Yes, Libby is a saint. Four kids, 8 grandchildren for a family of 18 Aussies/Sri Lankan/Mexican/Germans later we are very blessed and grateful,” he wrote.
