Others recounted stories of real estate agents popping up to take photos at inconvenient times.

“I used to work nights and a few times the real estate agent would say ‘photographer is coming at 1pm, if you’re not home we can use our key’ and it’s like, I understand that’s actually a really good time because in most cases people will be awake or even out of the house for the photographs …. but that’s basically my equivalent of 3am in the morning, and I am sleeping,” one person commented.

In reply one person wrote: “Yeah, sometimes people sleep in the houses they pay for.”

The two-bedroom, one-bathroom unit was listed by Harcourts, with the listing now removed from its website.

Harcourts have been contacted for comment.
