All applicants who have submitted their applications by the due date will be called for AFCAT at one of the examination centres on either August 25, 26, or 27, 2023. The exam will consist of objective-type questions in English, covering General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability, Reasoning, and Military Aptitude Test.
Candidates should take note of the marking scheme for the AFCAT exam. Each correct answer will be awarded three marks, while one mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. Unattempted questions will not receive any marks.
The engagement period for Flying Branch (Men and Women) SSC Officers is fourteen years from the date of Commissioning. Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) SSC Officers will have an initial tenure of ten years, which may be extended for four years based on service requirements, vacancies, willingness, suitability, and merit. The grant of Permanent Commission (PC) will be considered at a later date, subject to prevailing policies and criteria.
