JEE Main 2024 Session 2: The Joint Entrance Exam 2024 registrations are underway for JEE Main Exam 2024 2 (April). The conducting body National Testing Agency (NTA) had begun the JEE Main session 2 online registration process on February 2, after conclusion of JEE Main session 1 exams.
Eligible candidates can apply for the JEE Main session 2 exam on the official website of NTA JEE at jeemain.nta.ac.in.Personal information and academic records are required to be uploaded in order to successfully submit the online application. Last date to apply is March 2, 2024.
The JEE Main session 2 exam gives an added opportunity for students to appear for the standardized computer-based test for admission to various undergraduate programs in the engineering domain across top institutions like NITs, IIITs, and Centrally Funded Technical Institutions, as well as acting as a qualifying exam for the JEE Advanced exam, which is essential for admission into the coveted Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
Eligibility for JEE Main Session 2 exam
Candidates who applied and paid the examination fee for JEE Main 2024 session 1 and wish to participate in JEE Main 2024 session 2 must log in with their previous Application Number and Password from session 1.
Apart from the basic eligibility criteria to apply for the exam, as mentioned by the NTA, candidates are required to know the following conditions in order to be eligible to appear for JEE Main session 2 exam. Here’s an overview-

  • Candidates who have already registered for both session 1 and session 2 of the JEE (Main) – 2024 can change their course, question paper language, eligibility state code, exam cities, educational qualifications for Class 10 and 12, and fee payment details. However, any corrections in these areas will be subject to an additional fee, if applicable, and can only be made after payment.
  • Candidates who have already registered for session 1 but have not yet applied for session 2 of the JEE (Main) – 2024 are considered existing candidates for session 2. Candidates can choose their course, question paper language, eligibility state code, exam cities, educational qualifications for Classes 10 and 12, and fee payment details.
  • New candidates in session 2, who have not yet registered or paid fees for session 1, will go through the same registration and application process as in session 1.

JEE Main session 2 exam date
The JEE Main 2024 session 2 registrations will close on March 2 11PM; candidates will have an additional time till 11:50PM to complete application fee payment process.
According to the NTA notice, the JEE Main session 2 exam will begin later, between April 4 and April 15, 2024. The exam city and admit cards will be released a few days before the exam on the official website at jeemain.nta.ac.in.
