The NMMS exam which was originally scheduled for December 17, 2023, was postponed in an announcement by the JAC. Now, fresh examination and admit card dates have been released by the Council.
Students studying in class 8, and have registered for the NMMS 2023 exam, will be able to download their admit card and appear for the exam.
The admit card for Jharkhand NMMS 2023 is set to release on February 4, 2024. To obtain it, candidates can visit the official website – jac.jharkhand.gov.in. Accessing the Jharkhand NMMS 2023 admit card requires login credentials, namely the application number and password obtained during registration.
The Jharkhand NMMS scholarship initiative aims to offer financial aid of Rs 12,000 to chosen students in Class 9 to 12. Notably, students in private schools and those attending Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Kendriya Vidyalaya, and Sainik schools are ineligible for the Jharkhand NMMS scholarship.
Examining the Jharkhand NMMS 2023 structure
The NMMS 2023-24 exam comprises two sections: Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Abilities (SAT)-
- MAT involves 90 multiple-choice questions gauging verbal and nonverbal metacognitive abilities like reasoning and critical thinking. Questions may cover analogies, classification, numerical series, pattern perception, hidden figures among other topics.
- SAT includes 90 multiple-choice questions covering Science, Social Studies, and Mathematics taught in Classes 7 and 8.
Passing criteria for Jharkhand NMMS 2023
To qualify, students must secure a minimum of 40% in both MAT and SAT. However, students from Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories need a minimum of 32% in aggregate to pass the scholarship exam.

Follow this step by step guide to download the NMMS exam admit card once it is out.
Step 1: Go to the official website of the respective state’s SCERT or Education department.
Step 2: On the homepage, search for the “NMMS Scholarship Hall Ticket Download” link.
Step 3: Click on the link to access the NMMS examination hall ticket page.
Step 4: On the hall ticket page, provide the necessary details, such as the application number and name or username and password.
Step 5: Click on the “Submit” button to initiate the download of the NMMS Scholarship hall ticket for 8th class.
