Johnny Ruffo has shared an update on his cancer treatment after enjoying a romantic getaway in New Zealand with his long-time girlfriend Tahnee Sims.
On Wednesday the Perth native and former Home and Away star, 35, returned to Australia to resume his treatment.
The Balcatta boy shared a photo to Instagram giving his classic thumbs up in a hospital chair before a chemotherapy session.
In the picture, he appears to be in good spirits.
“Back to reality,” he captioned the picture, alongside three boxing glove emojis.
Some of Ruffo’s celebrity friends were quick to send him their well wishes.
“You are amazing,” said PR queen Roxy Jacenko. Actress Bonnie Sveen wrote: “You’ve got this”.
Ruffo has been battling terminal brain cancer and keeping his followers updated throughout his journey with his girlfriend by his side every step of the way.
He has been undergoing many rounds of chemotherapy since his diagnosis in 2017.
In 2019, Ruffo was given the all-clear, but just one year later, it had returned and his condition has since progressed to ‘terminal’.
In August last year, Ruffo admitted he feared how his girlfriend would cope once he was gone.
