Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siyethemba Sithebe might not be willing to forgive Ntokozo Sikhakhane for this one. The former Amakhosi star simply feels that Sithebe is not good enough.
KAIZER CHIEFS STAR DISMISSED BY FORMER PLAYER
Despite putting his hand up for a new deal in recent games, Kaizer Chiefs are yet to table a new offer for the 31-year-old Sithebe. The Newcastle-born star joined from AmaZulu in July 2022 before making only 34 appearances under the likes of Arthur Zwane, Molefi Ntseki and Cavin Johnson.
Asked if the Kaizer Chiefs star is affected by his contract situation, the former Mbombela United star said he is sorlely focused on playing. “No, I would say obviously the contract is coming to an end, but as a player, I need to focus right now because the team needs me a lot,” Sithebe said via FARPost.
“Also, there’s pressure that we have to play the remaining games. I think on the issue of contract, I’ll start focusing on it at the end of the season,” the Kaizer Chiefs number six concluded.
Meanwhile, the former midfielder Sikhakhane believes the dreadlocked star does not deserve a new offer.
“They can release him, in games that he has played for Chiefs, there’s nothing special he has done,” Sikhakhane told FARPost.
“And I still believe that he’s not the top midfielder, he’s just a player. But because Chiefs, they just sign any player. Once you shine at Santos, they bring you in, once you shine at AmaZulu, they bring you.
“They don’t look at whether you’re going to fit in their style or in their structure. So, for Sithebe, he hasn’t been playing for two years and he can’t prove himself in the last ten games. What was he doing all along?
“I think he’d do well at AmaZulu. I’d advise him to go back,” the former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder concluded.

More so, Kaizer Chiefs lost their defender and captain, Msimango, when he was shown a red card. This means that the 27-year-old from Brakpan, Gauteng will be out for the next three games.
