Kelly Osbourne praises ‘miracle drug’ Ozempic but maintains she’s never taken it

Kelly Osbourne has hailed Ozempic a “miracle drug”.

The 39-year-old star insisted she has never used the weight-loss medication, though her mother Sharon has, but she is very impressed with its transformative effects if used in the right way.

She told People magazine: “I just have to clarify, I’ve never taken Ozempic. I don’t know what Ozempic does to you other than what I saw it do to my mom.

“I think that it is the miracle drug in the right hands.

“The pros outweigh the cons, and if you really do research, the kind of medication and what it can do for you cognitively and what it does for the rest of your body, like I said, it’s a miracle drug.”

The former ‘Fashion Police’ star doesn’t understand why people criticise those who opt to use the drug.

She said: “For some reason, society is trying to paint it out to be a bad thing. And I don’t understand why. f you need to lose some weight, who cares how you do it, as long as you’re doing it in a healthy way.”

Kelly explained she had tried different “peptides” and “vitamins” while losing weight herself.

Her mother Sharon previously admitted she had lost too much weight after taking Ozempic.

She told the Mail Online: “I’m too gaunt, and I can’t put any weight on. I want to because I feel I’m too skinny.

“I’m under 100 lbs., and I don’t want to be. Be careful what you wish for.”

She started using Ozempic, which was produced to treat diabetes, in December 2022 but has been “off it for a while now”.

Sharon added: “My warning is don’t give it to teenagers. It’s just too easy.

“You can lose so much weight, and it’s easy to become addicted to that, which is very dangerous. I couldn’t stop losing weight, and now I’ve lost 42lbs and I can’t afford to lose any more.”
