Liberty Walk’s Toyota Land Cruiser Is A Tuner Special Not For The U.S.

  • The Japanese tuner offers fiberglass and carbon fiber versions of its Land Cruiser kit.
  • Liberty Walk also offers 22- and 24-inch wheels for the off-roader.
  • This kit isn’t cheap and can almost cost $20,000.

While the 300-Series Toyota Land Cruiser sadly never made it to the United States, it is a hugely compelling option for those looking for a comfortable and luxurious off-roader. It’s particularly popular in Japan, so it’s hardly a surprise then that one of the country’s most well-known tuners, Liberty Walk, has used it as the basis for its latest project.

Plenty of unique exterior touches make this Land Cruiser 300 stand out from a regular model. For example, the front fascia has been overhauled and now includes a redesigned grille with a revised bumper and new air intakes.

In typical Liberty Walk fashion, the tuner has screwed on a set of front and rear wheel arch extensions. It has also fitted new side skirts and bolted on a set of wheels available in 22- and 24-inch guises, priced at $11,650 and $14,850 for a set respectively.

Alterations made to the rear of the Toyota aren’t quite as dramatic as those up front. Stretching off the tailgate is a small lip spoiler while there is also a spoiler on the roof.

Toyota Land Cruiser owners who want to make their off-roader stand out with a Liberty Walk kit can order it in either fiberglass or carbon fiber. The cheapest kit available includes the front bumper, rear bumper, exhaust outputs, and fender flares and costs $7,480 with fiberglass or $10,780 in carbon fiber.

The most comprehensive package adds the front grille, rear wing, and trunk spoiler, and jacks the price up to $9,790 or $14,080 depending on the material chosen. Anyone who wants the pre-preg carbon fiber hood will need to spend $19,580 on the complete Premium bodykit.
