The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has issued a notice stating that the minimum qualifying percentage for a special round of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test- Super Speciality (NEET-SS) Counselling 2023 has been lowered.
The NEET-SS 2023 exam took place on September 29th and 30th, and the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) announced the results on October 15, 2023.
“Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India vide letter No. U.12021/08/2023-MEC dated 20th January, 2024 has allowed all the candidates who have completed their PG Degree as per NMC norms and have taken NEET-SS 2023 exam for the academic year 2023 would be “ELIGIBLE” to participate in the upcoming special round of NEET-SS Counselling,” read the official notice.
Initially, the cutoff for NEET SS 2023 was set at 50 percentile but was later lowered to 20 percentile. The NMC has now proposed a further reduction of the NEET SS 2023 cutoff to zero, given the ongoing NEET SS Counselling 2023. It’s important to highlight that there has been no alteration in the NEET-SS rank as announced on October 15, 2023.

NEET SS Counselling Process
