New York’s Chicest Joined Sézane and Laura Brown in Soho to Toast to a Brighter Tomorrow

Sézane, beloved for its ‘French girl next door’ type of easy elegance, gathered its Stateside fans for dinner to introduce them to Demain—its philanthropic program that has already distributed over $7 million to charities close to its heart. The evening was co-hosted by frequent collaborator, Laura Brown, and highlighted Women’s Cancer Research Fund.

For the occasion, the walls of Igancio Mattos’ Altro Paradiso on Spring Street were laden with paper-wrapped bouquets of vanilla white hydrangeas—making for a suitably chic backdrop. Further adding to the ambiance, sounds of ’80s French disco beats—thanks to a playlist compiled by va$htie—bounced around the dining room as guests chatted while kitted out in looks by the Paris-based B-Corp brand.

Those outfits were snapped street style-like upon arrival, with American Ballet Theatre’s Isabella Boylston setting a high bar for how to pose as she twirled elegantly at the entrance. Once inside, spicy margaritas were the pre-dinner order of choice, as tastemakers including culinary savants Alison Roman and Katie Lee Biegel, actors Liz Gillies, Louisa Jacobson, and AnnaSophia Robb, and And Just Like That co-stars Sarita Choudhury and Katerina Tannenbaum excitedly discussed their summer plans.

Models from every era, including Pat Cleveland, Kate Love, Bruna Tenorio, Alana Zimmer, and Sara Grace Wallerstedt, got better acquainted over shared antipasti plates as Brown filled everyone in on the reason behind the celebration. “I adore everything Sézane stands for. I adore the ease at which they do everything…and they love a glass of wine at lunch,” Brown laughed. “Everyone looks so great in the clothes, and they have a special secret sauce that only they know.”

Of the many causes that Demain has supported to date (over 20 non-profits around the globe), it has been working with the Women’s Cancer Research Foundation for the last three years and has already pledged another $200,000 to further advance its mission this year. “It’s so huge, the amount of research our small but mighty operation can fund [with Sézane’s help] and every single dollar goes to cancer research; we are so grateful,” praised co-founder Jamie Tisch.

The evening continued with no shortage of clinking glasses, heaped plates of spaghetti pomodoro (with a few cheeky requests for the kitchen to replenish empty dishes), roasted chicken, grilled eggplant, and Panna Cotta and walnut chocolate tart to seal the deal. Another sweet treat came in the form of a fan-favorite super soft Sézane sweater to go home with, which bears the question, Parlez vous amour? Or rather, Do You Speak Love? Oui!
