Nokia 3310 4G Launched: Features, Specifications, and More

The Nokia 3310 4G has now been officially launched in China, weeks after receiving TENAA certification. HMD Global, the company licensing the Nokia brand, has silently listed the 4G variant of the Nokia 3310 on the official Nokia site and has partnered with China Mobile to make the new model available in the country. Price and global availability details of the new Nokia 3310 variant are likely to be announced at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 in Barcelona, Spain, next month.

Nokia 3310 4G comes in two colour options: Fresh Blue and Deep Black. It is available as an upgrade to the modernised Nokia 3310 that was launched in a 2G variant in India May last year. Unlike the Nokia 3310 2G that runs Nokia Series 30+ OS and its 3G variant that was debuted on Java-based Feature OS, the 4G variant comes with YunOS, which is a forked Android version built by China’s Alibaba. The phone also comes with a preloaded MP3 player. The China launch was first reported by Nokia Power User.

The YunOS-based Nokia 3310 4G features a 2.4-inch QVGA (240×320 pixels) colour display. Compared to 16MB storage available on its original 2G version, the 4G variant has 256MB of RAM and 512MB of onboard storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 64GB). The phone sports a 2-megapixel camera sensor on the back with an LED flash. Further, it packs a 1200mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to five hours of talk time on a 4G VoLTE network and 16 hours of music playback on a single charge. The handset has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
