This is the only example of the rear-wheel drive Kimera EVO37 featuring the distinctive Martini livery and performance upgrades

One-Off Kimera EVO37 Is Pure Martini Madness

  • This one-off Kimera EVO37 was created to celebrate the championship titles of the Martini racing team.
  • The nostalgic livery and WRC-inspired touches are joined by a more powerful engine and shorter gearing.
  • Listed for a staggering £1,170,000 ($1,468,847), it’s one opf the most expensive restomods we’ve ever come across.

Kimera Automobili recently revealed the EVO38, boasting an AWD system and more power compared to its predecessor. However, that isn’t enough to steal away the magic of owning the original RWD-only EVO37. The most special example of the series, the one-off Martini 7, surfaced on the car used market, with less than 200 miles (322 km) on the clock and an extraordinary price to match its gorgeous spec.

The Kimera EVO37 is already a rare gem of Lancia 037 restomod excellence, with a limited production of just 37 units. However, only one of these received the coveted Martini 7 treatment, as seen in the pictured example. This special edition was crafted to commemorate the seven World Rally Championship titles won by the Martini racing team from 1983 to 1992.

In addition to the striking livery, there are several changes to the carbon fiber bodywork, including the addition of extra WRC-inspired lights at the front, an extended “aero pack,” several NACA ducts, and a quick-release system for the rear bumper, which exposes the internals.

The interior looks equally stunning with the blue Alcantara upholstery contrasting the exposed carbon fiber bits. The engraving on the machined billet aluminum manual gearbox shifter reveals that this was the sixth example of the EVO37 to be manufactured by Kimera. Like the exterior, the cabin is in showroom condition, proving that the car was treated as a garage queen for the single year of its existence.

Under the hood, the Kimera EVO37 Martini 7 is also exceptional, boasting a turbocharged and supercharged 2.1-liter engine that produces 550 hp (410 kW / 557 PS), surpassing the standard restomod’s output of 500 hp (373 kW / 507 PS).

The transmission has been modified with shorter gearing, and the weight has been further reduced to around 1,100 kg (2,425 lbs). While these specs might not be sufficient to outperform the newer EVO38 “Integrale,” which boasts 600 hp (447 kW / 608 PS) and all-wheel-drive, 550 hp in such a lightweight car is nothing to scoff at.

According to the listing by Appreciating Classics, the special Kimera is available through one of their U.S. partners which makes us believe that the original owner might have been from the States. And that leads us to the eye watering list price of £1,170,000 ($1,468,847) which doesn’t include shipping/duty costs.

While the original price of the EVO37 Martini 7 one-off was never disclosed by Kimera, the standard EVO37 units were priced between €480,000-540,000 ($515,868-580,383) before taxes. Judging from the significant upgrades, the newer EVO38 will likely be even more expensive, so there is likely a market for the Martini-themed special in the ad. Hopefully, the next owner will be able to enjoy it on the road.
