However, fans were shocked when they noticed that Horizon: Zero Dawn, one of its most popular games, is leaving PS Plus.

Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition won’t be available for free for PS Plus subscribers anymore

On the PlayStation store, Horizon: Zero Dawn Complete Edition will be removed from PS Plus’ Extra catalogue on May 21, 2024.

Sony has been rumoured to be developing a remake of Horizon: Zero Dawn for some years now which, if true, makes removing the original game from PS Plus make sense.

Horizon: Zero Dawn was released in 2017 and was received positively by critics and players.

The game has a Metacritic score of 89/100, based on 124 reviews along with scoring 8.4/10 from over 13,000 user reviews.

The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic future, where humans co-exist with dinosaur-like robots.

Players take on the role of Aloy, a young warrior who uncovers the secrets of the old world while exploring the massive open world.

The Complete Edition replaced the original game by including the “Frozen Wilds” DLC expansion and other items.

Following Zero Dawn, developer Guerrilla Games released a sequel, Horizon: Forbidden West in 2022 which continues Aloy’s story.

After Forbidden West was released, the first game was updated to run at 60fps when played on the PS5.

Both games are also available on PC so players can check them out on Steam or Epic Games Store too.

You can grab Horizon: Zero Dawn Complete Edition for PS4 and PS5 for £15.99/$19.99 on the PlayStation store, or play it for free before it leaves the service.
