Powerball: Winning WA Lotto tickets sold at Karratha IGA and Midland Gate

Two West Aussies have won big in Thursday night’s record-breaking $150 million Powerball draw.

The WA residents were two of nine Aussies to win an eye-watering division two prize, each pocketing $276,000.

The State’s division two-winning tickets were sold at The Good Grocer Karratha IGA and Midland Gate Lottery Kiosk.

Lotterywest CEO Colin Smith said the WA community is the winner in tonight’s draw.

“Thanks to WA players and retailers, Lotterywest has once again raised millions of dollars to fund essential community projects, events and initiatives across the State,” Mr Smith said.

“Lotterywest is proud to be the only State Government owned and operated lottery in the country, where all available profits raised from games like Powerball are returned to the WA community.”

In the last seven weeks, more than $27.7 million has been raised thanks to WA players and local retailers.

History was made on Thursday night when a South Australian resident took home the entire division one prize.

The lucky winner has become the country’s biggest ever Lotto winner, seizing the mantle from a Sydney nurse who pocketed $107m in 2019.

This weekend, WA players have a chance to join the millionaire’s list with Saturday Lotto’s $5 million draw.

Tickets are available in-store, online and via the Lotterywest App until 6pm draw day.
