Evidence of Australia’s Prime Minister being a Swiftie has been revealed in a video of Anthony Albanese ‘shaking it off’ alongside his Perth-based fiancée at a Taylor Swift concert in Sydney.
In the video shared to TikTok on Saturday, Albanese is seen showing off his dance moves to one of Swift’s hit songs on Friday night.
Swaying from side to side and flicking his hands along with the popular song, the PM joined 81,000 adoring fans at Accor Stadium in Parramatta.
The TikTok, posted by user jpthreeseventy, comes after the PM refused to give up his highly sought after ticket to a desperate fan, stating “I am a real Swifty” on 2DayFM.
The comments were filled with many expressing their pleasant surprise and support for Albo.
One wrote, “he gets it”.
“Live laugh love albaswifte,” another commented.
However, others were not so happy with his attendance and questioned Albo’s intentions.
“Can we see him during a song he hasn’t heard cause everyone’s heard shake it off,” one asked.
Another wrote: “This is what I pay tax for?”
One commenter hit back at the recently engaged PM’s haters.
“Why are people upset that Albo (or any politician) went to Taylor and had a good time? It is not “embarrassing”. If anything, it should spread joy.”
Albanese danced the night away next to his new fiancée and Perth-based designer Jodie Haydon after their proposal on Valentine’s Day.
