Prince Harry sees major title change

It’s taken a while, but Prince Harry is no longer officially His Royal Highness.

Eagle-eyed royal watchers have noted that Harry’s HRH prefix has finally been removed from the Royal Family’s website, three years after so-called “Megxit”.

Buckingham Palace has made the move in line with an agreement made after Harry and Meghan announced they were stepping away from royal duties and moving to the US.

On January 18, 2020, the palace released a statement confirming that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex “will not use their HRH titles as they are no longer working members of the Royal Family”.

Meghan’s title was quickly removed from the website, but it has taken a little longer for Harry’s HRH moniker to come down.

For the past three years, the HRH title has still been used for both Harry and Meghan on some parts of the website – until now.

Harry is now “he” or “the Duke”, while Meghan is referred to as “she” or “the Duchess”.

Harry is currently in Japan, where he was spotted walking through Tokyo’s Haneda Airport on Tuesday wearing a dark cap featuring the Archewell logo, the name of his and Meghan’s charitable foundation.

He is in the country to attend the ISPS (International Sports Promotion Society) Sports Values Summit on Thursday, where he will join a panel discussion with former New Zealand rugby player Dan Carter.

Meghan was not with Harry when he arrived at the airport.

But it is thought she may join her husband in Singapore for the Sentebale polo match on Saturday, which will raise money for young people living with HIV/AIDS.

Marriage rumours

In recent days, major tabloid news outlets around the world have been reporting that Harry and Meghan’s marriage is on the rocks.

Harry’s solo trip to Japan has only intensified the rumours.

But one relationship expert has addressed the speculation that the couple were “taking time apart” from each other.

“While the optics of travelling alone aren’t ideal amidst rabid marital rumours, we don’t know what conversations Harry and Meghan have had privately about this,” Working on the Body therapist and relationship expert Sally Baker told The Mirror.

“Perhaps they mutually agreed he should go.

“(The alleged) demise of their marriage is hopefully hugely exaggerated and they are both fine with Harry fulfilling his solo responsibilities.”
