Princess Charlotte celebrates 9th birthday as parents Kate Middleton, Prince William share sweet photo

Kate Middleton and Prince William have shared a new photo of their daughter Princess Charlotte to mark her 9th birthday Thursday.

“Happy 9th Birthday, Princess Charlotte! 🎂 Thank you for all of the kind messages today,” the Prince and Princess of Wales captioned the image that was shared on X and Instagram.

In the snap, Charlotte can be seen smiling while posing for a backyard photo.

The photo was taken by the Princess of Wales, who last month came under fire for doctoring an image of her and her children shared on UK Mother’s Day on March 10.

While not much is known about Charlotte — who is third in line to the throne — her mom once described her as “the one in charge.”

It rang true at the late Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in Sept. 2022, when Charlotte was seen reminding Prince George — her older brother — to bow to the coffin.

She also kept her younger brother Prince Louis in check during the Trooping The Colour ceremony by placing her hand over his to calm him down.

Charlotte was last seen in public on Christmas Day when she walked to church with her family at Sandringham.

It was also the last time Middleton, 42, was seen in public before the Palace released a video of her speaking about her health on March 22.

The mom of three is currently in the thick of her cancer treatment following her diagnosis.

Charles, 75, for his part, revealed his cancer diagnosis in February.

It’s understood that Middleton decided to share the news with the world that day before she and William’s three children, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, left school for Easter break.

The Post revealed that the Waleses “sugarcoated” her health woes when breaking the news to their youngest son Louis, but had a more “difficult” conversation with George and Charlotte.

As the royal undergoes treatment, her parents, Michael, 74, and Carole Middleton, 69, are stepping in to support their grandchildren during this fraught time.
