PS5 and Xbox players ‘can’t say no at that price’ as latest Sonic game drops to new low on Amazon

A RECENT Sonic game that’s barely been out for six months has tumbled in price to the joy of bargain-hunting players.

But the price has now dropped with 78 per cent off in Amazon’s latest deal.

Sonic Superstars offers a new spin on the classic 90s favourite with new fully 3D graphics, alongside fresh powers and abilities.

In The Sun’s review, writer Georgina Young described the title as “the modern 2D Sonic game we never thought we’d get”.

“It has fantastic level design, a striking style, and the fluid physics and heart that we always wanted to see makes a comeback,” she said.

The Metacritic metascore ranks the game as 73/100, while the user score comes in at 8.0/10.

Amazon’s deal is available on both PS5 and Xbox.

You don’t need to pay £55 to play Sonic Superstars as it’s currently £12.32 on Xbox and £12.35 on PS5 for a limited time.

“I didn’t think this would drop to this really low amount,” one buyer wrote on HotUKDeals.

“Like wow, imagine being the poor soul and paying £55 for this game when it came out like only 6 months ago!

“It should never have launched at such a ridiculously high price in the first place.”
