Richmond stars Dustin Martin and Jack Riewoldt fly business class while teammates crammed into economy

They came, they saw, they conquered — but only two of Richmond’s star players were afforded a certain luxury when flying to Perth for the clash against West Coast.

On the flight from Melbourne for Sunday’s clash, the club announced it had passed the 100,000 members mark.

The Tigers even released a video on Instagram showing a steward celebrating the achievement over the in-flight speakers.

But the video also reveals something else — superstars Dustin Martin and Jack Riewoldt sitting in the comfort of business class while their teammates are crammed into economy.

Martin can been seen relaxing in his clearly more comfortable seat complete with ergonomic headrest, with Riewoldt also enjoying the ride one seat in front.

Behind them is a petition and a rope separating the star forwards — and, admittedly, two of Richmond’s older statesmen — from the rest of the team, who can be seen more squashed up sitting three breast either side of the aisle.

The Tigers went on to beat the Eagles by 38 points at Optus Stadium but despite being well rested on the trip from Melbourne to WA, Martin could still land in hot water with the AFL to look at his off-the-ball elbow to West Coast defender Alex Witherden.
