Podcast host Rudy Giuliani trashed Saturday Night Live for refusing to do “suggestively racist” jokes in a rambling rant trashing Colin Jost and President Joe Biden.
Colin Jost headlined the White House Correspondents’ Dinner last weekend and had kind words for Biden in addition to the jokes.
But “Jost” or “Yost” or “Colin Posti” triggered something in Giuliani on an episode of Giuliani’s America’s Mayor Live podcast this week.
In a rant that wandered from misidentifying a Zoot Suit to getting Ukraine’s colors wrong to trashing Biden as a bad example of an American to making up a quote from Jost’s routine to taking five swings at saying Jost’s name, Giuliani insisted that not doing “suggestively racist” humor” makes SNL “racist”:
RUDY GIULIANI: This is Rudy Giuliani with America’s Mayor Live. You may not recognize me in this. I call it a zoot suit. You know, it’s like from Guys and Dolls and Marlon Brando or, you know, John Tabacco on Newsmax. Everybody knows Johnny. It’s like something he would wear.
Actually, I took it from him one night when he was sleeping. I did. No, I really like this jacket. I’ve had it for quite some time, and, it really isn’t a zoot suit.
I don’t know what it is. It’s a sport jacket. And I don’t know how I came up with this, this this color and this color. This is the Ukraine. I think Ukraine, is Ukrainian colors, and I’m in favor of the Ukrainian people. I just think it’s run by crooks. Like, don’t get insulted if you’re Ukrainian.
The same thing is true of us. We’re nice people. Americans. You wouldn’t know it by Joe Biden.
“Oh I forgot!”
Remember? Colin Posti? What was his name? Colin Kosti? Coast-y? Coastin? (Yost) Yost Colin! Was that his name?

RUDY GIULIANI: Colin Yost. He’s one of the one of the group on Saturday Night Live. That hasn’t been funny for two decades.
It started when Obama became the president, and they got intimidated of saying anything that might be suggestively racist. Like something funny!
Which is of course, racist in itself, that you’re not a you’re not willing to make fun of, accomplished people of all races and reli–.
I mean, Obama can kind of be made fun of he was the president of the frickin United States, you know?
OFF-CAMERA: Yeah.
RUDY GIULIANI: If you’re not going to make fun of a Black president, well, then you’re a racist, aren’t you? Yesss! Yesss! That’s what they all are!
And, you know, I don’t know if. I don’t know if I don’t feel that I have adequately conveyed to you, the process of projection.
