Starter Creates Jacket for Jimmy John’s for National Sandwich Day – WWD

There’s seemingly a day for everything, whether it’s hamburgers or pumpkin spice — and Nov. 3 is no exception.

That’s National Sandwich Day, and in honor, Jimmy John’s, a national chain with more than 2,600 sandwich shops in 44 states, has partnered with Starter on a limited-edition jacket.

In this first collaboration between Jimmy John’s and a streetwear brand, the jacket was designed with a nostalgic ‘90s aesthetic and features branding for both companies.

The jacket will retail for $150 and will be available for purchase on the Jimmy John’s e-commerce site beginning on National Sandwich Day. And all proceeds from the jacket sales will be donated to the Jimmy John’s Foundation, a partner of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

The proceeds from the sale of the jacket will be donated to charity.

“Jimmy John’s fans are crazy about our sandwiches — and now they have something new to crave with these high-fashion, limited-edition jackets,” said Jimmy John’s chief marketing officer Darin Dugan. “Starter was a quintessential part of ‘90s culture and now that the brand is back and hotter than ever, we can’t wait to see how our one-of-a-kind jackets are styled on the street. Knowing that 100 percent of the proceeds help the important work of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, makes this drop even more meaningful.”

Early access to the purchase of the jacket will be available to a select few of the company’s Freaky Fast Rewards program members.
