Noida School Holidays: Because of the ongoing heatwave, several private schools in Noida, Ghaziabad have announced an early summer vacation for students, starting this week itself. Some of the other schools have cancelled all outdoor activities for students of senior classes as the temperature continues to rise. The development comes after the Uttar Pradesh education department issued a notice last week, asking all primary schools to announce summer break from May 20 amid a heatwave alert.

When Noida Schools Will Resume Classes?

Dharamvir Singh, district inspector of schools, told TOI that some of the schools have already declared holidays, especially for younger students, to give them some relief from the heat. He added that these schools in Noida are likely to be closed for a month and won’t open before June 15.

In the wake of these developments, Modern School principal Neeraj Awasthi told TOI that the school declared summer break from May 17 for all classes and the vacation will go on for at least 40 days.”

In the similar manner, Bal Bharti School principal Asha Prabhakar told the news portal that they went to summer break for all classes from May 13.

Summer Holidays For Delhi Schools

The development comes as summer vacation 2024 has been declared for all government and government-aided schools in Delhi. This year the schools in Delhi will have summer vacation for 51 days, starting from Saturday, May 11, to Sunday, June 30, 2024. After the vacation is over the teachers must report to work for two days on June 28 and 29, 2024, for necessary school-related purposes.

The summer vacations for Delhi schools have been announced only for government and government-aided schools – it means that private school students will have to wait for summer vacation for now.
