Police in the UK seized a white and black Honda S2000 disguised as a Japanese police car, making for a scene we’d never thought we’d see.

Officers from the Northants Roads Policing Team noticed the S2000 traveling towards Santa Pod Raceway and reportedly spotted a red flashing light mounted to the sports car’s roof. While this light bar isn’t visible in these photos, legitimate police cars in Japan have large red light bars.

After stopping the driver, local police discovered that neither the driver nor the vehicle were insured. This left officers with no choice but to seize the Honda and slap bright green stickers on the windshield and rear window stating, ‘Uninsured Vehicle. Seized by Police.’

Although the light bar isn’t visible in these photos, at least six small flashing LEDs have been fitted to the exterior, including two on the front bumper, two on the front grille, and two on the rear bumper. Evidently, the owner has committed to the police car theme.
Driving an uninsured car is very silly, but we have to commend the S2000’s owner for how accurately the wrap mimics a real Japanese police car in a black-and-white livery. The Honda also features a sharp black element stretching up the hood, a large ‘Police’ sticker on the side, and Japanese letters just above it.
