TM Lewin launches international shippinng

TM Lewin has gone through some tough times in recent years but since it was taken over two years ago, the company has focused on relaunching its online retail ops and now it has announced the launch of international shipping.

The company said on Friday that it has launched international shipping, including to Australia and the US, “to fulfil the growing demand for it’s quality product and desire for British tailoring overseas”.

Importantly too, the enlargement of its customer base “comes with an extended product offering”. This year the brand has already collaborated with Community Clothing on a range of hand-made rugby shirts “which proved a hit”. And its latest trend-led drop comes in the form of suiting, linen and seersucker pieces in a variety of colour combos.

Brand Manager Lucy Steele said: “We’re excited to announce that TM Lewin now ships globally from our UK base. This expansion reflects the growing demand for our timeless menswear internationally. From our signature shirts to premium suiting, we’re committed to delivering quality pieces to new and existing customers worldwide.”

As mentioned, the company has faced major challenges in recent years and went into administration for the second time in 2022 as consumer tastes evolved and the pandemic effect continued to weigh on its sales. It was then acquired by Petra Group.

The company posted its latest results a couple of months ago and this showed that the period from when it was relaunched in 2022 to the end of that year saw trading having stabilised.

But it’s hard to get a true picture of the business based on the figures provided as it wasn’t a full year, there were no comparison figures and there’s been no update for 2023.

But the brand is clearly thinking expansion, based on the latest international shipping development.

This could also be seen last autumn when it said that it had a new partnership with Gloucester Rugby. The two-year deal makes it the club’s Official Supplier of Formal Wear.
