TV personality Tony Armstrong says he won’t stop “calling Australians racist” after his landmark Logies win.
The ABC presenter took to TikTok on Wednesday to respond to a comment calling out his past remarks about racism.
“Now you have won a Logie, which is a popularity award, will you stop calling Australians racist now,” the comment stated.
Holding his Gold Logie, Armstrong responded: “Umm, no I won’t stop. Because, some Australians are still racist.”

In the video, Armstrong turns to the camera and smiles while clutching his Logie award.
He received the inaugural Bert Newton Award for Most Popular Presenter at the 2023 Logie Awards on Sunday.
Previously, he wrote on Twitter: “Fully respect the nominees, but a vote for me is a vote that will keep you on the right side of history.”
Armstrong, a former AFL player, has hosted sport on ABC’s News Breakfast since 2021 after a stint on ABC Radio’s Grandstand program.

In 2022, the 33-year-old took home the Graham Kennedy Award for Most Popular New Talent at the 2022 Logie Awards.
More recently, he has gained national attention as an outspoken critic of alleged racism in the news and media industries.
In November, Armstrong notified police about a racist email sent to him after he called out abuse and systemic racism.
“This sh*t has got to stop,” Armstrong wrote on Twitter.
“One thing is for certain though, this isn’t guna stop us speaking up or stepping up.
“Sent to my work email, no less.”
The email contained racist slurs and referred to Armstrong as a “filthy scum” and an “uneducated dog”.
The message appeared to be in response to comments Armstrong made about billionaire Gina Rinehart.
